This patient underwent a parotidectomy (the removal of her parotid gland). Surgery included removal of an 8+ cm tumor of the parotid gland (approximately the size of a regulation baseball). The first image shows the extensive surgery, the latter image demonstrates the patient's complete recovery, including no damage to the facial nerves.
